First aid cabinets should feature in every home, workplace or environment where their is a possibility of injury or danger. In the workplace there are many regulations that are in place to ensure that first aid cabinets are always near by and that they are also stocked with the neccessary materials.

In schools for instance when young children are running around all day and are less aware to the dangers that surround them, it is essential that there are several first aid cabinets containing a diverse range of materials to treat various type of cuts, bruises and bangs. For instance plasters, bandages, antiseptics and creams to sooth stings are the bare minimum.

In industrial places your first aid cabinet may need to be more specific to the devices you have around you, for example if you have a machine that could possible cut someones limb off then you should accomodate for that and seek expert advice as to what materials and procedures you should have in place.
